I thought when Delanair helped design the early system marketed under Porsche Air they stated it was available for 4 and 6 cylinder models. The brochure stated "compressor is mounted horizontally, out of the way, behind the "four or six cylinder engine". Maybe Porsche never put the 4 cylinder engine in the 911!
