Just drive your Porsche and have fun...

I'm a pro detailer/Concours preparer and a Zone 8 PCA Judge.

That being said, here's the difference between the classes.

W&S;
Exterior and Interior are judged. Should take you 16 to 20 hours to prepare your car and be competitive.

Street;
Exterior, Interior, Trunk(s), and Engine are judged.
Should take you around 40 to 60 hours to prepare.
(I recently spent 20 hours detailing a 964 engine in a high mileage car that a client decided to stop tracking and concours).

Full;

Exterior, Interior, Trunk(s), Engine, Front undercarriage, Rear undercarriage are judged.

You should expect to spend 150 to 200+ hours preparing the car.

My hours are based on real experiences preparing lower mileage well cared for Porsche's. Your expierence will vary.
I work hard and want to win.
I typically take .1 to .3 points deductions on cars in Full.

Concours is a fun game of "who can make it the cleanest" in PCA.

At the National level it is also about originality.

If you're thinking of trying Concours for the first time, study your Zone's scoring sheets and look at what areas will be judged!

Next, attend any upcoming Concours or detailing clinics your PCA region is offering. Talk with other participants.

(I am hosting a Tech session for Orange Coast region next month. I love to help new participants be competitive! More fun for all who attend).

There is no secret...it takes time and being a little OCD.

If you have specific questions I am happy to answer.

For the record... My SC has 321,000 miles on it. I show it once every 5 years or so...😉
