I got one of these as my first car seven years ago, and I'm still driving it today. I got this one in trade but I don't need two identical cars, so it's up for sale. Would make a good drivable project, or a nice base for a fun track car. I've got the clear (Oregon) title on my desk. Located near Portland, OR.
I have a nice condition extra engine from a 1983 Porsche 944 (pretty much the same as the one in the 924S), with only 77k miles on it, that I can include for no extra money if you want it. Also, I can throw in various other extra parts that are piled up in my garage.
The wheels on it in the pictures are from my other car and won't go with this one. I can include my set of nice Boxster wheels (shown on my other car in the last picture) with good tires at $2,500, or I'll take $2,100 if you bring your own wheels.
Good things:
-Almost new shocks and struts, the suspension feels fantastic
-Decent interior
-Clear title
-Sunroof delete model, which is pretty rare
-Very few miles on a timing belt job done about three years ago
Not so good things:
-There's a bit of a bearing whine from the transmission or torque tube, probably the pinion bearing
-A few minor electrical things aren't working. I fixed some and I might be able to figure out the others
-Paint is worn out and it needs a little bodywork (I'm planning to start working on this soon if it doesn't sell right away)
-Windshield is cracked close to the dash
-Front seats have typical split seams, dash has cracks
-Odometer stopped working; I tried to fix it but apparently wasn't successful. Speedometer is fine.
