Evolution of the English Language
The English language is constantly evolving. Words like "bequeath" are antiquated and seldom used now. Words like "sick" and "whack" now mean cool. "Cool" is almost never used in it's original context.
...But the newest evolution of words really pisses me off. We used to call this BS in Baltimore and Ferguson "Riots" and "Rioters". Now we call them "demonstrations" and "protesters". We used to call it "violence", "looting", and "thievery". Now we call it "unlawful demonstration" and "expressions of anger and frustration".
We used to identify the "unlawful demonstrators" and throw their a$$es in jail. Now the ACLU comes to their defense, saying they are lacking in opportunity and victims of a poor education system.
Police brutality certainly exists, and most certainly more prevalent in certain minority communities. That is an issue. Nevertheless, in our society's efforts to be politically correct, we have almost decriminalized these ridiculous acts of violence and opportunism
Rant over.
