I had noticed big time hesitation between 3.5 and 5.5k RPM which, from reading these boards, I had pegged as a WOT position switch issue. Before doing any more T/S though, I went through the maintenance I was going to do anyways:
In roughly chronological order:
Valve adjustment
- Oil + filter Change
- S-hose replacement
Alternator (V) belt (this is hard if you have an AC pulley BTW, someone should post a "how to" on getting to that pulley nut!)
Spark plugs A complete b****. 15 years is too long between spark plug changes. New ones went right in though!
Plug Wires
- Distributor Cap
- Distributor Rotor
Fuel filter
I did all the ignition + fuel filter at the same time, but afterwards the hesitation was gone completely!
I also put my rockers, ducktail, and mirrors back on. The good news is that the mirrors work great!
I drove the car 200 miles today, and honestly I was expecting the worst. No issues though, and it ran STRONG!
Next up (and in no particular order):
Front splitter install
Odometer gear repair
Bumperette delete
Rear Valence replacement
Shifter bushing replacement
Soft brake line replacement
Swepco 201 in Transmission
