Another day of listening to people trying to sound like they know what they are talking about but making themselves sound like a 5 year old reading quantum theory. When Photoshop was new back in the early 1990s we had samples of photos before and after restoration and showed some of the magic that was possible with Photoshop. It was real magic to the average consumer. Now of course everyone knows about the possibilities of Photoshop.
Anyway, a older lady came in and handed me a 4x6 snapshot of a cruise ship in port. She then asked me if I could use or digital magic and flip the ship so she could see the name of the ship on the other side.
I stood there is stunned silence for 30 seconds trying to come up with some sort of answer that was not something like "are you freaking stupid or on drugs"?
