It's weird, NFL teams NEVER learn their lesson with immature, troubled QB's with off the field issues.
Johnny Football, JaMarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf, etc.
The QB is a leadership position. If you don't have that, you can't compete as an NFL QB.
At best, Winston be a serviceable QB that can stick around for a few years. I think at BEST he can be a Cam Newton. But probably not even that. I think he'll be a bust.
Mariota, on the other hand, I think was a good pick. He's a solid character and has a lot of NFL QB attributes. He's not an Andrew Luck right out of the box, but I think he has the potential to get there, with very limited downside.
