The best thing I've found by far is Amteco TWP (Total Wood Protection). I used it on a 12x12 redwood deck years ago after trying two other big name/big box brands that lasted about a year. It lasted until I sold the place. Nothing lasts forever in that situation though, and you are no doubt aware of that. I used it when I treated the wood for my patio almost 6 years ago, but that's the supporting pillars and under the roof which aren't exposed to direct sunlight. If I remember right, the last I got was water soluble (California), but I'd try to get oil based. Look at it online.
