Maybe I'm biased, but spraying doesn't mechanically push the material into the pores and most is wasted.

S.W. makes great interior pastel colors.
Thick, consistent, spreads smooth, low odor,etc.
They were actually a pleasure to spread on a wall.

For outdoor heavy foot traffic you might want something with a ceramic base.
Bonding and anti-mildew is a prerequisite in Fl.
