The wiring took a little bit of work and help to figure things out. Since most of the wires in the engine compartment that dealt with the engine fan had been cut I had to figure out which wire (yellow) triggered the fan previously by pulling up the levers between the seats. That triggered wire then powered a black wire that went back to my manual dial and energized the footwell blowers. I had a thread here:
