I'm behind where I would like to be, not hugely behind, but behind. I think I'm also on track to get to were I'd like to end up if I can keep saving at the rate that I have been. I've been maxing out the 401k for a while plus other savings. Things are growing nicely and I'm much happier with my retirement savings now than I was 10 or even 5 years ago.

Top execs can still contribute up to the max but at the end of the year if the auditors determine the plan is top heavy, they could get handed a big refund check that they suddenly own taxes on.
Not fun.
