Holey Shiz. This online exchange migration is a major cluster copulation. Freakin idiots I work with in the IT department. The migration wouldn't have been too bad. The autodiscover would take care of updating most clients with the only interaction is the user clicking an okay button in a dialog box and restarting their client. BUT NOOOO.,,

These idiots decide our password policy isn't strong enough. They decide this is a good time to change everyone's passwords to meet the new requirements. Too keep users from making insanely easy to crack passwords I assigned passwords, locked the password so they could not change it and keep a password database so I can help forgetful users.

Also our internal domain is kimray.org. Everyone is used to using username@kimray.org for their login with their email being @kimray.com. But since the Office 365 login is the UPN or login instead of email address. Since maybe 20 of 600 users use web mail and might be confused by the kimray.org login (which they have been using on the current exchange web mail for 10 years) they idiots decide to change the login to kimray.com company wide. We have all kinds of services that authenticate using active directory. This change breaks all of that. AND because of the login change the new password is NOT distributed to other services.

So they have taken a relatively painless migration and due to lack of thought about what they are doing have turned it into a mess that is confusing users and making logging in to do their work a nightmare of trying to remember which login and which password to use where.

Arrrgh! No wonder users hate the IT department.
