Escort Rear Shock Installation Issue

Just finished install of Escort supension and scratching my head a bit about the difference in clearance from LH and RH shocks. the RH shock has a 2 - 3mm clearance at the top between the spring seat and the torsion tube cantilever arm, yet on the LH side it is under 1mm.

The Escort rear shocks have an offset top and bottom to provide clearance to the cantilever arm and the respectively trailing arm. I've doule checked both ends are turned the correct way to maximise clearance.

I've loosed up torsion tube chassis mounts on both side and seen if there is any play there to shift the suspension left/right but minimal and in any event doesn't sem to make a difference.

I'm about to swap the shocks over left to right to verify if the issue is with the shocks or the rear suspension geometry.

Am I missing anything?

LH clearance - Very tight!

RH clearance 2 - 3mm
