agani, this presumes you get a good seal on the nipple, which is not easy, and also presumes that there is no air leaking past the threads of the bleed screw, also nearly impossible to know.

a pressurizer like the motive (not to be confused with a vacuum bleeder) is the only way to ensure a full seal. this does require that you have fluid in the reservoir, as well as the bottle, and you have to have enough pressure in the bottle. you also have to have a good high pressure line, as there is little movement in the cylinder, and hose expansion can easily exceed the piston travel.

the high pressure line should be changed at no more than 10 years. you would be amazed at the difference in pedal feel with a new line. it's something most people don't even think about changing, but really plays an integral role in clutch performance.
