My 30 miles to the Imperial gallon is an average over countless long motorway journeys cruising at say, for the sake of the widely read internet, 70mph which is our legal limit. My 924S has 205-65-15 tyres, and I do have the updated throttle cam but of course the 924S has shorter fifth gear than the 944 so should in theory burn slighlty more gas but maybe the 924S's better aerodynamics compensate for this.My car also wasnt supplied with aircon, as per usual in the UK.
I contend that with the headlights up the aerodynamics are badly affected, as I deliberately switched them on at 130 mph on a level road on an autobahn and felt the car noticeably slow down at a constant throttle pedal setting. Tilting back the sunroof has a similar but slightly lesser effect.
