Most water districts don't use it any more. Check with your water district - it is likely they don't use it.
Lubey - I thought you were a chemist? The fluoride will stay in the water just like sodium. If you want to use boiling to remove it you have to catch the steam and cool it down ... distilled water. Also, you get a lot of your tap water into your body through hot drinks and boiled foods.
IMHO it should be everyone's own responsibility to medicate their kids at the tooth growing age. Let's not medicate the entire population life long, including pets etc. If the water district has it, I drink it, but I'd rather not.

Yup, your right - the fluorine is in a salt state so boiling it won't remove it. It was late and I was half asleep.
