You can get a reliable 200+ BHP from the existing TR6 engine,and still make use of the seven gears, and yes, the roadholding is somewhat wheel waggly in the exit of tight turns with the power hard on, ie the rear suspension will have bottomed out It was built for cruising in the US, not for racing, although I did race one for a little while.
