I think you are smart to do that. I personally collect rent from our tenants . Being on the Board we interface between the owners and the management co. The management co. collects the condo fees, pays all the bills, does the accounting etc for a fee per month.

The changes we get with the new man. co is that we don't want in trust. This way our reserve fund, cheque signing are much more visible. Accountability and transparency are paramount.
