This sort of story is exactly why I would not buy a car like this at auction. I said above I would buy a car "like this" for a bit more than auction price, but when the PPI revealed the more pressing issues I would come down on my offer.
Clearly not a car for a newbie. It has needs, like all high mileage cars have needs, some more pressing than others.
