When I get a sore throat and try application of those nice distilled remedies it just puts me to sleep and I wake up with broncitus, I ain't got time fo dat.
Chicken broth, Not the low salt or low fat kind, and don't add any water. Heat on stove while mixing in a table spoon of garlic powder, and a 1/2 teaspoon of ground red pepper, or cayenne. Black pepper to taste (ha ha ha). When suitably warm pour in a mug and sip on it.
Chicken broth has something in it that helps the white blood cells find and stay where the invaders are. The salt in it toughens up the tissues. The fat in it helps to keep the garlic and red pepper on the tissue in your throat.
Garlic Powder is a natural antiseptic that makes it thru the digestive system and into the blood.
The red or cayenne pepper has the highest natural concentration of vitamin C which makes it difficult for the bug to multiply and spread. The capsaicin deadens the pain and reduces inflamatioin.
