I have instructed for over 6 years with NASA, Trackmasters, and HOD here in Northern California. I hear your concerns and you need to deal with them. That being said I feel that either you have the demeanor to coach/instruct or you don't. You may have a lot of track experience but if you can't communicate to a new driver AND keep you composure while on track. Instructing may not be for you. You have to stay calm in the face if inexperience. If you get excited then your student will too. You need to have control of the situation as much as possible.
