Anything going on?
Comic-con sounds interesting, but not sure I want to spend the $50 to get in. I'm a cheap bastard like that.

IF you're the sort who would go to Comicon anyway, then it's worth the money. Phoenix is probably #4 in the country for size as Cons go. In a couple of years, it's going to end up like San Diego, where you have to fight to get a ticket.
If you're NOT the sort that would go to a Con, then you'll probably just wander around wondering what all the fuss is about, wishing you had your money back.
I'd be good with just one day, but my 15 year old lives for this weekend so I'll spend three days there. They have a phone app that lets you see what's going on at any given time. My niece is an author/guest so I'll go to her panels, the independent film festival, and get lots of exercise from walking around. Vendor hall is huge, but much of what's for sale in there can be bought elsewhere. There are some artists selling their creations... my daughter saw a necklace she hopes to buy when we go back today.
If you're a casual attendee, you might prefer to go Sunday when it will cost $10 less and there will be way fewer people there. Saturday is the peak attendance day. It will be a major zoo.
