Weighing in late, I know! Have you ever tried an ultrasonic vibrating tool, mine is a Rockwell, for removing the undercoating? The scraper works well for removing glued-down flooring, tile, grout and even trimming concrete edges. The frequency is adjustable, so it could be fine tuned for your application. ...I, also, am impressed by your ingenuity and work ethic.
