when refreshing the 944S for my bro, I was replacing the PS reservoir, and barely touched the connector for the hall sensor. it shattered like glass. so had to directly wire/solder that connection. over time I have read this is not uncommon. that connector is just above the headers.

still holding up after several years. next up the TB/WP, etc for it. parts are in.
