It seems that the question of detention should have been settled BEFORE she pulled over. Give an inch, and they'll take a mile.
Although the officer should have shown restraint, where's the incentive for him to do so? It's the taxpayer that will be paying for the lawsuit that SHE cleverly set him up for, and he'll continue to operate as per his training.
