Um, no!!!! That would wreak havoc here! The rain needs to be up North, preferably in the form of snow.
There is no root structure for the native chaparral, plants because of the lack of water. That structure is needed to keep from having mudslides. With everything dying, the last thing we need down here is Texas like rain.
