Well it's been a long while since I've posted.
I guess it was my turn in the barrel because I have spent just a
little over a year with everything that could go wrong going wrong
and I have had to just dig in, keep my head down, and outlast it.
The Sled is done and is everything I could have hoped for. The start
up went sideways right off the bat. I had bought a "slightly used" K27S
Turbo with 700 miles on it and it went tits up in the first drive out.
I had resealed the scavenge pump, replaced all the oil lines to and
from the Turbo, pumped up the oil pressure, tested the flow through
the system and took the Old Girl out for a easy does it test drive.
As luck would have it the turbo took a dump and I foged the country
side all the way home.
Called the Turbo God and he sent me a new Garret GSX61,
absolutely awsome turbo. With my gear set and R&P the car has zero
lag, it's seriously quick.
I posted today because of my long lusting for an original 934/35
manual boost controller I can't believe they are $1,600. It costs a lot
more money than I can spare. I have wanted one for some 30 years
and it's obvious that's not happening.
Slow forward to the present I have gone back to my old ways if you can't
afford it , make it.
An old original installed controller:
A Pressure Regulator 0-30 PSI bought 2 on Evil Bay for $18.00
A Little Paint & Polish
installed between the seats for easy access
