I'm in the same boat here -- 85 targa that's in excellent condition
It's my only 911 and I plan one day on owning a longhood hot rod -- for the weight/HP ratio

So I'm on the fence myself since I don't currently have the $$ for 2 porsches but will soon have $$ for the hot rod if I sell targa - -but I love targas and especially this one. You get my drift - do I make this mine in case I don't sell or keep minty -- I am leaning towards leaving the fairly functional AC (I was as shocked as you are) and I just have the belt off for now to prevent the hp drain.


Ironically this is why I hate escalating values even though I own a 50k mile beauty that's already gone up in value in the 9 months I've owned it -- I'd rather have this and another SC coupe or modified 911T with 2004 prices and NEVER care about investment type things. Hard to ignore though.
