The first time we surfed Pavones, it was around noon, and we had it to ourselves. The locals typically surfed in the morning & evening only. Before we left, we got a hectare overlooking the break, and for a couple years it was heaven.
Then came the internet .. The Florida guys knew the swell was coming 3 days in advance, and would be camping on the beach the night before the swell arrived.
