Well don't give up. Better to try on your own then if no good guy is available. Nothing worse than a bad or ignorant dyno guy. Your timing module should come with basic set-up / directions. Usually for 2 plugs-per cylinder you can reduce total timing by @ 2 degrees.
My experience tells me that whatever total timing curve you choose, just make sure it's all in by 3500 RPM. That is a good starting point, then you can concentrate on jetting. Your carb from Zipper's should also have some basic tuning instructions. Most likely the low speed jet will be spot-on, the Thunder-jet will be spot-on so you can concentrate on the main (now mid range) jetting which should be close. It takes a patience and a little time to ride, remove and read the plugs. Be aware that with today's fuels that reading may require more riding time to color the plug.
After you establish this then you may want to back up your total timing point to an earlier RPM; like 3200 RPM. Then ride and see if it likes it.
