I read this article a few days ago, and if I remember correctly (up front disclaimer!

), the S7 had two distinct disadvantages that hampered its overall time for this specific test: gearbox ratios and lack of ABS. The S7 required a shift to third at 99mph(!) to get above 100, and the Lambo's ABS hauled it down from speed more effectively. Optimize those two minor issues on the S7 (modify trans or diff gearing and add ABS), and it should've spanked the Lambo.
The issue with this kind of "narrow parameter" test is that certain cars will have specific unintended advantages, but in a broader overall test of abilities, that same car may be at the back of the pack sucking dust.
But......it's still a cool test.
