I found the Nurburgring seats and similar seats didn't offer any lateral support. Useless in normal driving for me. Tried various ST and Rallye seats, some were uncomfortable in the upper back area. Side support was fine. I found that you need more of the lateral support down low; the raised sides don't offer much additional support.
Since you are in Southern Cal, drive up to LA and visit Dave at TRE. He should have a fair number of seats to sit in and I would suggest sitting in anything you intend to buy.
Not sure your price expectation is realistic. Those Nurburgring seats are cheap and nothing I looked at was even close to that. If that's your prime criteria, your decision made be already made.
