bent sensor

so I was checking the crank end play measurement on the 84s - wanted to make sure the engine wasn't trash before continuing to work on this car - while I was under there I noticed one of the sensors that are pressed into the flywheel is bent - you can clearly see in the pics that it's bent to the right - so my question is would this bend have an effect on the running of the engine - also i'm assuming they are a press fit and can't be easily removed but could I tap it with a hammer to straighten it out or would this most likely snap it off - I started this car yesterday for the first time in a year and it runs but badly -like it did a year ago - now I know it needs tuning and adjusting but would the slight bend in the sensor have an additional effect - there are two of these sensors - is one for crank position and the other for rpm's - thanks in advance
