How to plug a toilet - Seriously
We are renting our lakehouse but the tenant does not have access to the garage, since we store personal items in there (locked). It's an insulated garage with a utility sink and a toilet....and this is Georgia (hot). Don't want the toilet to become a science project!
I know I can shut off the water to the toilet to keep it from refilling. But, what about the drain? We're on a septic system. Is there any potential that the drain water will eventually evaporate allowing the stench from the septic system to get into the garage? I'm thinking the plumbing into which the toilet drains will always have water in it and as such, all will be good.
Anything I'm missing?
