In March 2014 the previous owner of my 97 993 C4S bought a G64/20 from a seller in Nova Scotia, Canada. I posted a WTB ad on Rennlist and I put the transmission seller in touch with the car owner. (The car had a bad 1st -> 2nd gear grind for 25,000 kms and it finally let go and broke a hole in the side of the transmission case!)
It had 26,088 verified miles from a wrecked C4S and cost $6570 CDN shipped to Victoria BC Canada ($5350 USD at today's rate) My transmission core (with a hole in the case and 162,000 kms went to Ninemeister in the UK for parts/rebuild. Sold it for $1500 USD plus shipping etc.
All have mixed reputations but I found available transmissions at: LA Dismantler and Nineapart. Would be worth asking Ninemeister as well.
