On my commute into work this morning my Pandora station served up the Rolling Stones classic "(I can't get no) Satisfaction" I remember sitting on the floor in my bedroom making model airplanes in 1965 when that song came on the radio and I became a Stones fan right then. That was 50 YEARS ago!
When I first heard "You can't always get what you want" I loved it and it has been and still is a favorite song of mine and I often call it my theme song. One reason I loved it was my brother hated it so that made it even better.
The only point of this post is how many other songs that you loved as a pre-teen or early teenager do you still consider favorites?
I will come clean and admit that before the Stones and the Beatles I loved one of the very first (if not the first) British invasion bands, Herman's Hermits. I still have all their albums but I have to admit I don't really care much for their music anymore.
