I get your direction McLovin' but I am always entertained at the idea that people think there were "a lot" of any air cooled car made...
60,000 SCs over 6 production years...
Perspective: 243,000+ Camaros produced just in '69
I get they're not really "rare" cars but they're not high production like a great many other cars that are and have been considered collectible.
My '78 Targa, of 2579 built, it's 1 of 278 made in it's color...American Collector Car people would pay an enormous premium and consider that incredibly rare.
