Canikon are slow to innovate and dSLR is increasingly irrelevant except for a few niche users. If I were buying, I'd think twice about pouring more money into any dSLR system. Ymmv.

I agree about DSLRs and innovation, but have you seen the Battis lenses? They're huge for what they are. Also, all the mirrorless lenses are a step backwards in one way. They all use linear focus motors and no focusing helicoids. Manual focus is really focus by wire and they can't have simultaneous auto/manual focus like Canon USM and Nikon SWM lenses.
All that said, I've sold off some of my Nikon stuff to fund the Fuji XT1 and lenses. I just got sick of lugging the weight and bulk.
