Bummer, hope you are feeling better.
Kimchee is fermented to begin with, so I've never had any problems myself. Unless the jar was 'well' beyond the expiration date, or left unrefrigerated after opening, I wouldn't think it would be the cause....
How 'fresh' was the salmon??
In any case - throw everything out!!
