Glen, looks like a good time as always. At least this year is only an our difference for you to adjust to.
My wife's mother, mother's husband, and my wife's older brother are visiting from CA. They are enjoying it for the most part. Her mom doesn't enjoy cold or rain but her brother enjoys the change of weather. Living in the Imperial Valley he doesn't get much change other than it gets windy to go along with the sun.
We took him out Sunday to shoot at the Texas Star since he hadn't had the chance yet. He did pretty well since we were at about 18 yards due to the alternate location we had after all the rain. Emily shot at it as well, but had a hard time knocking the plates off with the .22 revolver spoon. She had to reload once to get all the plates to fall and we told her she did much better than the La Crosse police officer who didn't hit any plate with the first 150 rounds. I even let Jacob shoot one of the plates that wasn't moving with the single shot .22 and he hit it first shot. He has to have a rest to be able to hold it well. We also broke in the new 10/22 spoon I bought for our family as well. It shoots a little left but I am going to put either a small scope or better yet, a peep on it. When we were at the supper table my wife asked what the difference was between our new one and her brother's and I said ours will accept the 25 round magazine and his won't. Emily also bought a t-shirt at the spoon store that says "Second Amendment - Own IT" and has the 2nd in the background. They have another I am going to pick up next time up there. It has the 2nd with some of the words bolded, like tyranny.
We went to the national motorcycle museum on Monday. Em took all the pictures so i will have to shoot them up later, but here is a link.
National Motorcycle Museum » One of the finest collections of vintage bikes in the world!
Pretty cool place. Lots of old names. There was a Bultaco there that we just like the one the guy I am named after had back in the day.
Had to clean up a Russian Olive tree yesterday in dad's yard from the storms.
Oh yeah, I love weeks like this. Today is my Monday, tomorrow hump day and Friday is Friday.
