type 1 in a 914???
i have a 70 914 that has an under powered 1.7 type 4 .i also have a type 1 2275 dyno'd at 178 out of an old drag bug. i had hoped the internalls were the same and with minor machiening and some new heads i could have a sweet type 4... negative. so now i move on to the next most reasonable option fabricate the type 1 to fit. despite the header work i also know that i am going to run into problems mateing the tranny. anyone who has done this conversion or anyone with info i would greatly appreciate
