The first thing you should do is identify what FP you have on your car. The part number and brand of the FP would help identify the specific information about it. If you have a Bosch type rotary FP, look at the manufacturer's technical bulletin and find out if it has an internal check valve or not. The part you showed in the picture is not a check valve. Do you know the brand and part number of the FP? Keep us posted.
