When I moved out long long ago I moved 900 miles from my parents home and into a $90 per month furnished apartment and it was a POS. Only the bedroom had ANY air conditioning and it was 105 that day I hauled everything I owned up 13 steps into the garage apartment. Within a few years I had saved enough to buy a cheap house with a cheap low interest rate of 12.5%.
Mortgages are so cheap now days.
I never spent a night at my parents house again. They moved up to Oklahoma City and just a few miles from my house. I loved them dearly and miss them a lot.
