While not rich, I know of a century farm in our family and one century home in town that has seen many generations back to the late 1890s when it was constructed.

many acknowledge that the paradigm has shifted. I would expect to see more extended families as the burdens of elder care and child care become more onerous and more realize that the state has or will fail them.
