I finally went for a ride in a brand new C6, 650HP Vette. Quite a fast car, very fast, extremely fast! A slight touch on the throttle and it would lay rubber and fish tail. Gets up to 100 instantly, almost scary. It was an automatic, I think 7 speed and no way could you shift it faster, amazing. The owner said he had to buy it so he could get in line for a C7, which he has on order. The car is quite sophisticated, I think four different settings for ride and the dash display changes with each. The seating was not as good as a 928, at least for me as I am 6'3". Handling wise, I would say comparable to the 928, at least in touring mode. No one actually needs 650HP and 1,000HP in the C7 is almost crazy. It was neat to be in the C6 but a car that can scare the hell out of you with it's tremendous acceleration. A car you can get into a whole bunch of trouble with!
