Marv, my wife would get a charge out of the "me needing an ego boost" as our "fleet" prior to the new truck was the '74 911, a 2006 VW Jetta and the 2002 F150... all with well over 150K miles on them. Having the latest, greatest model vehicle is not exactly one on my priorities in life...
New truck only because wife decided since selling the sailboat we need to look at a small travel trailer (5-6000 GVWR area) and I think this new one will do it. Besides just being old, The 2002 had small V-8 and no tow package so it was out.
I didn't really want to mess with selling the 2002 on CL or ? and it had some hail damage so no trading it in and the grandson goes to a small rural TX high school where pickups are the main mode of transportation.. so off it went.
