Unfortunately for your wishes, it probably is too much to ask in this case, since I doubt that it will happen.
But then again, what do I know? I've never even been on that board, as far as I know. And a one week suspension sounds more like a warning than a banishment to me, maybe you just need to adjust your message to the audience a little? In reality, you are sort of like a talk radio host, (Hmmm, new career for you?), they are always pushing the envelope, testing the waters, seeing what the audience will take? Now you know, so no big deal, right?
