We came to the same conclusion back on 2008. Honda Ridgeline was a better choice than a Chevy Silverado based on price, size, and no added benefit for extra 2000 lbs of towing.
Jump to 2015, same conclusion, different answer. Honda had oddly abandoned the Ridgeline. So the next best option is the new Chevy Colorado. Tows as much as the 2008 Silverado. Not too big. And 10k less.
Would have considred a Ford Ranger, but no crew cab.
So I'm in the same camp: these new Rams, F150, Silverado, and Tundra are way too big for me.
Just wish honda got their act together and refreshed the Ridgeline sooner. Now it's sometime in 2016/2017??
