I visited an auto glass shop today and was told that the only way to replace the black plastic windshield trim was to replace the windshield...I'm hoping that the windshield dude is mistaken.

The trim is that which butts up to the windshield and goes under the lip of the seal. Where it is crazed and broken off, it looks like aluminum is exposed.

Someone give me some good news please.
