If I were spending that kind of money on a 1911 style spoon it would be in .45 ACP.

Sounds about right for a little over $200. Just looking for a 1911 style plinker. If I can hit some steel at 25 yards it would be fine. Not a carry piece. I know the Hi-Point are
inexpensive, but they don't feel good in hand and I have yet to hear of anyone that likes them other than they are cheap for gang-bangers to get. I thought a reasonable used metal spoon would be better.
If I were going for more quality I would look at a Browning/FN Hi-Power, CZ, Sig, S&W and so on down the line. I like Ruger rifles, but the triggers on the larger hand spoons like the P series I can't stand. I saw some knock off BHP that people seem to like.
